Since we were established, Starr Insurance Group LLC has been set on a foundation of hard work and dedication to our customers. We understand that providing protection through insurance and risk management is one of the most important aspects in life. Being a family-owned business, we feel it is important to form a trusted, personable relationship with each client. We strive to continuously reflect a pleasurable and educational experience by offering comprehensive policy coverage, by helping to minimize risk exposures, and by helping to keep the cost of insurance low as possible.
President Sam Starr began his career in the financial services industry over 25 years ago. In 2004, he moved into the insurance field and purchased Parker Waller Agency, located in Greenville, Alabama. This office has been a leader of insurance services in South and Central Alabama since 1956. Since beginning in 2004, Sam has been able to expand his vision by bringing his son, Will Starr, into the business to help with the development of the Auburn location. Will worked as a claims adjuster for a regional carrier for six years prior. In April of 2014, Sam and Will acquired The Whitecotton Agency in Montgomery, Alabama which has been operating since 1993. All locations operate under the parent name Starr Insurance Group LLC.
Through years of Sam's managerial experience, he has gained a great understanding for the importance of caring for all customers and employees. He firmly believes that his employees are one of the largest driving forces behind the company. Within every location, employees are highly trained and fully committed to providing five star customer service to each and every client.
In September of 2017 Sam hired on his youngest son, John to join Will in helping to expand the insurance footprint for Starr Insurance Group. John is a 2015 graduate of Auburn University, prior to joining the agency John spent two years in the finance space, and quickly realized that sales and helping others is his passion, so this made joining the family business a very easy decision.
